Request that the County of Maui allow zoning variances to expand early education access programs in the county.

Affirm that early childhood learning is critical for developing children's physical, cognitive, linguistic, social, and emotional skills needed for school success.

Recognize that early learning programs produce long-term societal benefits including higher educational attainment, reduced homelessness and crime, improved health, and better social and economic outcomes.

Direct certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Director of the Executive Office on Early Learning, Mayor of the County of Maui, Chairperson of the Maui County Council, and Director of the County of Maui Department of Planning.
