Establishes a legislative investigating committee to follow up on State Auditor reports on the Department of Land and Natural Resources' Special Land and Development Fund (Report No. 19-12) and the Agribusiness Development Corporation (Report No. 21-01).

Committee will examine audit recommendations and work to improve operations and management of these state agencies and their funds, operating during the interim between the 2021 and 2022 Regular Sessions.

Committee will consist of at least five House members appointed by the Speaker, including a chair and vice chair, with power to issue subpoenas, hold hearings, administer oaths, and employ professional and technical staff.

Audits identified critical issues including lack of strategic planning and policies at DLNR, inadequate board oversight at the Agribusiness Development Corporation, and non-auditable financial records.

Committee must submit written findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the House prior to the 2022 Regular Session and cease to exist upon adjournment sine die of that session unless extended.
