Designates September 2021 as Suicide Prevention and Action Month in Hawaii to promote awareness of mental health resources and suicide prevention services.

Recognizes suicide as the tenth leading cause of death among U.S. adults and the second leading cause of death for individuals ages 10-34, with more than 48,000 deaths by suicide in the United States in 2018.

Notes that suicide is the eleventh leading cause of death in Hawaii in 2020 and the second leading cause of death for Hawaiians ages 10-34.

Encourages all Hawaii residents to understand the importance of mental health education and recognize that mental health care is essential to personal and community wellness.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, county mayors, Hope For The Day, and Hawaii's Suicide Prevention Center.
