Requests the Legislative Reference Bureau to conduct a study on business liability protections related to COVID-19-related claims

Study must survey modifications enacted by the federal government and other states regarding business liability protections, workplace safety guidance, and directives in response to COVID-19

Study must compare existing Hawaii laws relating to business liability protections and workplace safety guidance with similar federal and state laws

Requires submission of study findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the convening of the 2022 Regular Session

Directs certified copies be transmitted to the Director of the Legislative Reference Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, and the Retail Merchants of Hawaii
