Appropriates $1,330,163.78 from general revenues for fiscal year 2020-2021 to settle judgments and claims against the State through the Department of the Attorney General, including settlements with the Agribusiness Development Corporation ($131,849.15), Aloha Stadium Authority ($75,000), Department of Education ($235,250), and Department of Hawaiian Home Lands ($370,418.91).

Appropriates $1,045,000.00 from the state highway fund for fiscal year 2020-2021 to settle transportation-related claims, including $995,000 for Siu v. State of Hawaii and $50,000 for Link v. State of Hawaii.

Requires the Attorney General's approval before any payment can be made and limits interest payments to the period from judgment date through 30 days after the Act's effective date.

Unexpended and unencumbered balances lapse as of June 30, 2022.

Takes effect upon approval.
