S.B. 1081 Summary

• Appropriates and authorizes funds for collective bargaining cost items negotiated with the exclusive representative of collective bargaining unit (14) for fiscal biennium 2021-2023.

• Appropriates and authorizes funds for salary increases and other cost adjustments for state officers and employees excluded from collective bargaining who belong to the same compensation plans as unit (14) members under chapter 89C, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

• All appropriations show -0- for general funds, special funds, federal funds, and other funds for both FY 2021-2022 and FY 2022-2023.

• Salary increases and cost adjustments for employees whose compensation is paid from federal, special, or other funds shall be paid proportionately from the respective funds.

• Unexpended or unencumbered funds as of June 30, 2022 and June 30, 2023 shall lapse, with the Act taking effect on July 1, 2050.
