HI SB1305

Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 26-6(b)(4) to require the Department of Accounting and General Services to establish a program allowing state employees to drive their personal vehicles for official business and receive mileage-based compensation.

Directs the department to encourage use of personal vehicle mileage compensation with the goal of minimizing the size of state motor pools.

Authorizes the Department of Accounting and General Services to adopt rules under Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 91 to implement the personal vehicle compensation program.

Takes effect upon approval by the governor.
