Requires the Department of Education to implement a service-learning curriculum for grades 9-12 by the 2024-2025 school year, with completion as a graduation requirement.

Curriculum must be approved by the board and include a minimum number of community service volunteer hours, evidence-based instructional practices, and alignment with Common Core State Standards.

Service-learning activities must be conducted in and meet community needs, be coordinated between schools and communities, and help foster civic responsibility.

Curriculum shall develop student character, values, self-esteem, civic responsibility, financial literacy, and knowledge of local community issues through community service volunteer work.

Requires the department to post the curriculum on its website and encourage private and charter schools to follow it.
