Department of Defense, in coordination with Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, Department of Health, and Hawaii Technology Development Corporation, shall identify and propose a location for a state stockpile storage facility to store emergency supplies for natural disasters and pandemics.

Proposed facility location must be on state land, reasonably secured, outside inundation zones, within one mile of an airfield, and near state, county, and federal first responder agencies.

Department of Defense must submit a report to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2022 regular session identifying the proposed location and evaluating selection criteria; may include alternate locations.

General revenues are appropriated to the Department of Defense for fiscal year 2021-2022 to identify an appropriate stockpile storage facility (specific dollar amount left blank in bill text).

Act takes effect July 1, 2021.
