Request the State Auditor to update Report No. 12-09 from October 2012 on mandatory health insurance coverage for fertility preservation procedures for cancer patients of reproductive age.

Direct the Auditor to evaluate the social and financial effects of mandating such coverage, using new data from ten states (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island) that have enacted similar fertility preservation coverage since 2012.

Require the Auditor to submit updated findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the Regular Session of 2022.

Direct the Insurance Commissioner to transmit copies of the resolution to each organization issuing health insurance policies in Hawaii that may be affected.

Address the original 2012 report's finding of insufficient data and low public demand by leveraging additional state experience and detailed reports from California and Connecticut to provide more accurate financial impact assessments.
