Requests convening of a Charter School Authorizers Working Group with 11 specified members including Senate and House Education Committee chairs (as co-chairs), Board of Education chair, Charter Commission leadership, Attorney General representative, Ethics Commission representative, and charter school representatives.

Working group is directed to examine administrative rules the Charter Commission should promulgate to improve the authorizer-charter school relationship and identify any legislation needed to accomplish the Commission's goals, with focus on national best practices and positive student outcomes.

Working group is requested to meet in May, July, September, and November of 2021.

Working group must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2022 Regular Session convening.

Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to the Charter Commission Chairperson, Charter Commission Executive Director, and Board of Education Chairperson.
