Requests the City and County of Honolulu to amend ordinances to impose a mandatory 30-day ban from park use for persons cited or arrested for violating the park closure ordinance (section 10-1.2(a)(12), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu).

The 30-day ban begins from the date of citation or arrest and is enforced 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Persons who violate the 30-day ban may be arrested under the park closure ordinance or state trespass laws, as applicable.

Current penalties for park closure violations are limited to fines up to $500, imprisonment up to 30 days, or both, with no mandatory ban from subsequent park use.

Directs certified copies be sent to the Mayor of Honolulu, Director of Parks and Recreation, and Chair of the Honolulu City Council.
