Designates April as Tree Awareness Month in the State of Hawaii to raise awareness of the benefits and importance of trees to the state.

Recognizes trees' environmental benefits including combating climate change, cleaning air, removing pollutants, storing carbon, and releasing oxygen.

Acknowledges trees' health and economic benefits such as cooling urban areas by up to ten degrees Fahrenheit, improving property values, reducing UV-B exposure by nearly fifty percent, and supporting tourism and agricultural economy.

Cites research showing trees improve physical and mental health outcomes including faster surgical recovery, lower blood pressure, higher productivity, and improved student test scores and graduation rates.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Chairperson of Board of Land and Natural Resources, and mayors of all counties.
