Urges the Broadband Hui to include a representative from the Executive Office on Aging as a member to represent kupuna (elderly) needs regarding digital literacy, broadband access, and computer equipment.

Identifies broadband connectivity as essential for economic development, education, health care, public safety, and emergency services, particularly highlighted by COVID-19 pandemic needs.

Notes that kupuna and other vulnerable populations lack digital literacy skills necessary to access online career and social support opportunities, and that many older adults lack confidence in using technology despite over half of those 65+ being smartphone owners.

Recognizes the Executive Office on Aging as the designated lead agency for coordinating statewide aging and caregiver support services in Hawaii.

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Governor, Director of Business Economic Development and Tourism, Director of the Executive Office on Aging, and the Broadband Strategy Officer for the Hawaii Broadband Initiative.
