S.C.R. NO. 233 - Summary

• Department of Agriculture requested to update lease agreements for lands used under Act 90, Session Laws of Hawaii 2003, to ensure long-term productive agricultural use of public lands

• Department of Agriculture, Board of Agriculture, and Board of Land and Natural Resources requested to hold a public hearing to review and update leases related to management of existing non-agricultural park lands pursuant to Act 90

• Department of Agriculture requested to submit a report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2022 on status of updated lease agreements and compliance efforts in collaboration with Department of Land and Natural Resources

• Report must include a list of all lands transferred pursuant to Act 90, a list of all lands not yet transferred with explanations for each, and any proposed legislation if necessary

• Certified copies of the concurrent resolution to be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture and Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources
