Request that the Governor submit an application for immediate relief to the DEA Diversion Control Division pursuant to 21 CFR 1307.03 for state-authorized cannabis use in Hawaii.

Request that the Governor submit a petition for permanent relief to the DEA pursuant to 21 CFR 1308.43, asserting that Hawaii Revised Statutes Part IX Chapter 329 and Chapter 329D create an exemption from federal drug laws without creating conflict under 21 USC 903.

Assert that international drug treaties to which the United States is signatory contain exemptions for authorized use of controlled substances under domestic law.

Direct that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Department of Health, Department of Public Safety, Department of Transportation, Department of Education, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, and President of the University of Hawaii System.
