• Establishes a working group to examine gleaning activities (food recovery) in Hawaii's state and county parks and identify types of foods available for gleaning.

• Working group membership includes the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, Dean of University of Hawaii College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, and directors of Parks and Recreation from Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai counties.

• Requires the working group to develop strategies promoting gleaning awareness and recommend gleaning initiatives to benefit communities and improve food security.

• Working group must convene by September 1, 2021, hold at least three meetings before the 2022 Regular Session, and submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2022 session begins.

• Working group dissolves on June 30, 2022, following submission of its final report.
