Request Hawaii Health Systems Corporation to convene a task force to conduct a feasibility study for hospital construction in North Kona and a health care needs assessment of the West Hawaii region.

Task force membership to include one Senate member, one House member, the Director of Health, the Regional Chief Executive Officer of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation West Hawaii Region, a representative from Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital, a West Hawaii Regional Health System Board member, and other representatives deemed necessary.

Regional Chief Executive Officer of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation West Hawaii Region or designee to serve as task force chairperson, with initial meeting required no later than June 1, 2021.

Task force to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2022 Regular Session convening.

Task force dissolution scheduled for June 30, 2022.
