Office of Planning requested to convene an interdisciplinary task force to develop a framework for a comprehensive sea level adaptation and resilience plan for the Waikiki Special District.

Task force to include 20 specified members including state and city officials, the Director of Planning as chairperson, representatives from NOAA, University of Hawaii, Hawaii Tourism Authority, and local organizations focused on environmental and tourism interests.

Task force may invite additional organizations or agencies to participate and will receive administrative support from the Office of Planning.

Task force required to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2023 Regular Session convenes.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to all relevant state and local agencies, universities, and organizations involved in the task force.
