Supports and adopts the goals set forth in the Digital Equity Declaration for Hawaii created by the Broadband Hui, a multi-sector coalition of public and private organizations.

Defines digital equity as the condition where all Hawaii residents have information technology capacity to participate fully in society, democratic processes, economy, employment, learning, and access to essential services.

Requests that Digital Equity Declaration goals be included in the Aloha+ Dashboard (Hawaii's statewide sustainability framework) and updated regularly to track progress.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to Hawaii's congressional delegation, state directors, county mayors, county council chairs, and heads of educational and economic development organizations.

Acknowledges digital divide disproportionately affects Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, and that COVID-19 pandemic made broadband connectivity a necessity across all sectors and demographics.
