References the Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization, established in 2016 as a federally mandated agency to facilitate cooperative transportation planning with adequate state and county representation.

States that MPOs serve as forums for collaboration among local communities and government agencies to direct federal funds toward multimodal pedestrian, bicycle, and transit projects that increase access to opportunity and prosperity.

Directs that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Mayor and Councilmembers of the County of Hawaii.
