Office of Enterprise Technology Services and National Federation of the Blind of Hawaii requested to jointly convene a working group on accessible government documents.

Working group directed to research other states' laws and technologies for providing government documents in accessible formats, including documents from private contractors.

Working group must evaluate strategies to improve accessible government document provisions and recommend oversight methods to the Legislature.

Working group composition includes co-chairs from Office of Enterprise Technology Services and National Federation of the Blind, plus representatives from 14 entities including the University of Hawai'i, state departments, legislature offices, and disability advocacy groups.

Office of Enterprise Technology Services required to submit working group report with findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than 40 days before the 2022 Regular Session; working group dissolves July 1, 2022.
