Appropriates $3,278,686 from general revenues for fiscal year 2021-2022 to provide air conditioning for 236 classrooms across six Kaiser Complex schools in the seventeenth and eighteenth representative districts.

Air conditioning projects cover: Kaiser High School (67 classrooms), Nui Valley Middle School (40 classrooms), Hahaione Elementary School (39 classrooms), Aina Haina Elementary School (33 classrooms), Koko Head Elementary School (30 classrooms), and Kamiloiki Elementary School (27 classrooms).

Design costs total $843,055 and construction costs total $2,435,631, with individual school construction allocations ranging from $266,843 to $537,597.

Department of Education will oversee expenditure of appropriated funds for design, construction, ground and site improvements, and equipment related to the air conditioning projects.

Effective date is July 1, 2021.
