Amends Section 88-63 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to cap service credit for unused sick leave at a maximum of 90 days for public employees who become members of the retirement system on or after July 1, 2021

Employees with 60 or more days of unused sick leave continue to receive 3 months of additional service credit, with each additional 20 days or major fraction thereof providing 1 month of credit

Any unused sick leave exceeding 90 days is forfeited for new members hired after July 1, 2021

Provisions do not apply to employees who became members before July 1, 2021, preserving existing benefits for current employees

Takes effect July 1, 2021
