Requires the Department of Transportation or appropriate county agency to post depth gauge signs on public highways located in special flood hazard areas that are prone to flooding.

Depth gauge signs must be posted in accordance with the Federal Highway Administration's Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, as amended.

Defines "depth gauge sign" as a flood gauge sign conforming to federal standards, "public highway" by reference to Hawaii Revised Statutes section 264-1, and "special flood hazard area" as areas identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Effective date is July 1, 2050.
