Require the Department of Agriculture to use consistent units of measurement when publicly reporting the total quantities of restricted use pesticides used by county.

Expand pesticide buffer zones from 100 feet to one-half mile (2,640 feet) around school properties during normal school hours, effective January 1, 2023.

Extend the one-half mile buffer zone restriction to state and county public parks in addition to schools.

Exemptions to the buffer zone restrictions include whole structure fumigation and applications where the pesticide label contains more restrictive provisions.

Scientific findings cited include evidence that pesticide drift can occur up to 0.8 miles from the application site and that pesticides are associated with neurological deficits in children.
