Increases appropriation to the premium supplementation trust fund established under Hawaii Revised Statutes section 393-41 to help small business employers with fewer than eight employees afford health care benefits.

Establishes one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) permanent position with a maximum annual salary of $70,000 to conduct small business employer outreach and provide application assistance for premium supplementation claims.

Appropriates $70,000 from general revenues for fiscal year 2022-2023 to fund the new position, with expenditures managed by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.

Appropriates an unspecified amount from general revenues for fiscal year 2022-2023 to be deposited into the premium supplementation trust fund itself.

Takes effect on July 1, 2022.
