• Establishes a new Department of Law Enforcement effective upon approval to consolidate criminal law enforcement functions from the Department of Public Safety, Department of Transportation, Department of the Attorney General (non-statutorily mandated investigations), and Office of Homeland Security, with transfer of personnel and functions effective January 1, 2024
