• Authorizes the Department of Budget and Finance to establish guidelines and parameters for implementing the cost-sharing salary arrangement.

• Codifies existing practices that began in 2005 and were recognized in Executive Order 20-06 to help address state budget shortfalls without requiring tuition increases or reductions in force.

• Takes effect July 1, 2022.
