Establishes the sustainable food systems working group within the office of planning and sustainable development to develop a plan for a more sustainable, resilient local food economy.

Comprises 18 members including legislators, representatives from agriculture, tourism, education, native Hawaiian community, fisheries, and food industry organizations selected by designated officials.

Director of the office of planning and sustainable development serves as chair and must submit the working group's plan, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2024 regular session.

Working group is dissolved on December 31, 2023.

Appropriates funds for fiscal year 2022-2023 to establish the working group, coordinate meetings, manage public engagement, and create sustainability specialist positions (specific amounts left blank in bill).
