• Requires private employers to provide paid leave to fully vaccinated employees who are required to stay home or prohibited from returning to work due to COVID-19 exposure.

• Paid leave applies only when the employee submits to a COVID-19 test within three days of exposure notification with negative results and provides proof of full vaccination.

• During the absence, employers must maintain and pay for group health plan coverage in the same manner as if the employee were actively working, and the absence does not break continuous service for salary adjustments, leave accrual, or seniority purposes.

• Prohibits employers from interfering with, restraining, or discriminating against employees who exercise rights under this Act; employees may bring civil actions for violations.

• Takes effect July 1, 2050 and repeals June 30, 2023 (note: effective date appears to contain a typographical error).
