Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism shall develop a plan to ensure high-speed broadband internet access in all communities with schools receiving federal Title I education funds.

Plan development requires assistance from the Department of Education, Department of Human Services, Department of Transportation, Hawaii Public Housing Authority, and internet service providers.

Department must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2022 regular session convenes.

Act takes effect upon approval.
