Request that the Department of Customer Services of the City and County of Honolulu fully staff its Driver Licensing Centers to provide more public access to services.

Request that the department expedite the process of obtaining a state identification card or driver's license for individuals experiencing homelessness who provide verification from an authorized homeless service provider.

Identify lack of valid government identification as a significant barrier to housing and employment for people experiencing homelessness.

Direct transmission of certified copies of this resolution to the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, Chairperson of the Honolulu City Council, and Director of Customer Services.
