Urges the Hilo High School School Community Council to recommend naming Hilo High School Gym after Albert and Lawrence Manliguis, brothers who served as head coaches at the school.

Albert and Lawrence Manliguis coached for 48 consecutive seasons at Hilo High School and led the Vikings to three state basketball championships.

Lawrence Manliguis won two state championships (1991, 2000), finished as runner-up in 1992, and won eleven Big Island Interscholastic Federation titles; Albert Manliguis won one state championship (1964) and nineteen Big Island Interscholastic Federation championships.

Recognizes the Manliguis brothers for their dedication to mentorship, fast-paced coaching style, and contributions to athletic and academic excellence at Hilo High School and across the state.

Directs transmission of a certified copy of this concurrent resolution to the Hilo High School School Community Council.
