Request the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to conduct a study on economic impacts of domestic out-of-state students, using similar scope and form as the October 2020 report on international students.

Study must analyze economic impacts of all domestic out-of-state students including four-year degree students, two-year degree students, and short-term students.

The 2020 international student report estimated $185,000,000 in direct economic contributions and approximately $381,200,000 in total economic output including indirect and induced effects, along with nearly 4,000 supported jobs.

Department must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2023.

A certified copy of the resolution must be transmitted to the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.
