Requests the University of Hawaii to report on the Pamantasan Council's systemwide efforts to improve the status of Filipinos at the university.

Report must include information on the 2019 appropriation (Act 266, Session Laws of Hawaii 2019), resource and budgetary needs, curriculum development recommendations, and representation and success of Filipino students, faculty, and staff.

University of Hawaii must submit report findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2023.

Appropriated funds are currently being used to support a University of Hawaii Maui College lecturer teaching distance education Ilokano courses and for curriculum development of a community college-level certificate in Filipino Studies.

Addresses concerns that Filipino students are underrepresented in graduate and professional degree programs at University of Hawaii at Manoa, and that Filipino faculty are underrepresented at all University of Hawaii campuses.
