Legislature supports further development and implementation of preventative safety measures against childhood bullying and promotion of adolescent health

Board of Education shall develop a bullying prevention and response action plan to inform students, school employees, volunteers, and Department employees of implemented procedures

Board shall establish requirements for preserving and documenting evidence of bullying and harassment in Hawaii schools

Board shall review and update the bullying prevention and response action plan every 24 months to incorporate best practices in prevention, education, investigation, reporting, and resolution

Board or Department shall submit a report of findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2023 Regular Session convenes
