Request that the Department of Customer Services of the City and County of Honolulu fully staff its Driver Licensing Centers to provide more opportunities for residents to access identification services.

Request that the Department expedite the process of obtaining a state identification card or driver's license for individuals experiencing homelessness who provide verification from an authorized homeless service provider.

Recognize that valid government identification documents are necessary barriers to housing and employment for people experiencing homelessness and required for financial, healthcare, and other transactions.

Direct that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Mayor of Honolulu, Chairperson of the Honolulu City Council, and Director of Customer Services.
