Urges allocation of additional resources to increase police presence on the Wai'anae coast in Oahu.

Calls for creation of a new police district for Wai'anae separate from the current District 8 (which combines Kapolei and 'Ewa), bounded by Nanakuli and Ka'ena Point.

Requests increased staffing and resources for the Wai'anae Coast Community Policing Team to serve the growing population and adequately manage the new police station that opened in May 2016.

Cites 2020 crime statistics showing District 8 reported 6 murders, 53 rapes, 115 robberies, 246 aggravated assaults, 446 burglaries, 2,823 larcenies, and 491 auto thefts, with the highest number of murders and aggravated assaults on Oahu.

Directs certified copies be sent to the Mayor, Honolulu City Council Chair, and Interim Chief of the Honolulu Police Department.
