Request that the Board of Education and Department of Education establish one full-time equivalent (1.00 FTE) position of administrative vice principal dean of students for the Lahainaluna High School Boarding Program.

Request that the Board of Education and Department of Education include funding for this position in their budget request to the Legislature.

Assign responsibilities to the administrative vice principal dean of students including running and staffing the Boarding Program, increasing student recruitment, establishing student programs and vocational opportunities, and implementing recommendations from the October 2015 Lahainaluna Boarding Program Working Group report.

Direct that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Education, Interim Superintendent of Education, and Principal of Lahainaluna High School.
