Urges the Hilo High School School Community Council to recommend naming Hilo High School Gym after Albert and Lawrence Manliguis, brothers who coached at the school for 48 consecutive seasons.

Albert and Lawrence Manliguis led the Hilo High School Vikings to three state basketball championships: Lawrence coached two championships (1991, 2000) and Albert coached one (1964).

Lawrence Manliguis also led the Vikings to a runner-up finish in 1992 and eleven Big Island Interscholastic Federation titles; Albert led the team to nineteen Big Island Interscholastic Federation championships.

The brothers are recognized for their fast-paced coaching style, mentorship, and focus on building discipline, skills, and character in their student-athletes over five decades.

Directs that a certified copy of the resolution be transmitted to the Hilo High School School Community Council.
