Hawaii State Energy Office requested to engage the U.S. Department of Energy to establish a permanent presence within Hawaii.

Governor, Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, and all state agencies with energy-related duties requested to support the Chief Energy Officer in this effort.

Hawaii State Energy Office required to submit a report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2023 Regular Session, detailing engagement status and terms of any proposed agreement.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Hawaii congressional delegation, Governor, Chief Energy Officer, and DBEDT Director.
