Request that the Contractors License Board include at least two members who are Specialty Contractors licensed in structural trades (carpentry framing, masonry, ornamental/guardrail/fencing, pile driving, post tensioning, reinforcing steel, structural welding, or welding) without automatic classification from general contractor licenses.

Direct the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and Contractors License Board to consider establishing an advisory committee focused on structural contracting issues within the existing Board.

Direct the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and Contractors License Board to evaluate whether current rules allowing automatic issuance of certain specialty licenses to General Engineering Contractors and General Building Contractors without additional examination or fees adequately protect public safety.

Require submission of a report with findings and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2023 Regular Session convening.

Transmit certified copies to the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the Chairperson of the Contractors License Board.
