Adds Section 709-906(8), (9), or (10) relating to abuse of family or household members to the list of class C felonies that qualify for repeat offender mandatory minimum sentencing under Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 706-606.5.

Persons convicted of abuse of family or household members with prior felony convictions (including murder, class A or B felonies, qualifying class C felonies, or out-of-state felony convictions) become subject to mandatory minimum imprisonment without possibility of parole.

Renumbers subsequent class C felony provisions in the statute from (z) through (ff) to accommodate the new abuse of family or household members offense.

Does not affect rights, duties, or proceedings that occurred before the Act's effective date.

Takes effect upon approval.
