Expands the children's justice program's purposes from focusing solely on child sex abuse and serious physical child abuse to also include child sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation of children, other child maltreatment, and child witnesses to crime or violence.

Changes program language from "purpose" to "purposes" and restructures the program's objectives to explicitly address investigation and case management of victims of the newly included categories of child maltreatment.

Modifies the multidisciplinary team approach to prioritize the needs of child victims or witnesses first, then supportive family members, and then law enforcement and prosecuting agencies.

Updates the director's duties to reflect the expanded scope, including training and continuing education for interviewers of both child victims and child witnesses, and arranging interviews in appropriate settings for all covered categories.

Takes effect upon approval.
