SB 2133 Summary

• Requires persons operating a vehicle with an ignition interlock permit to carry government-issued identification (passport, driver's license, state ID card, or military ID) in their immediate possession.

• Expands ignition interlock device tampering prohibitions to include obscuring a camera lens or failing to provide a picture of the driver.

• Creates new offense for operating a motor vehicle with blood alcohol content of .05 to .08 grams per 100 milliliters of blood (or .05 to .08 grams per 210 liters of breath), subject to a fine.

• Effective date is January 1, 2050.
