HI SB221

Requires the governor's coordinator on homelessness, in conjunction with the Hawaii interagency council on homelessness, to develop regional plans for Honolulu, Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui counties to coordinate services and shelter facilities among public agencies and nonprofit organizations.

Each county plan must identify specific regions, establish goals and objectives for each region, and include strategies to address unmet homelessness needs while considering community concerns and homeless population needs.

Mandates the governor's coordinator to submit annual reports to the legislature at least 20 days before each regular legislative session beginning in 2022 on the status of county plans.

Becomes effective July 1, 2060.
