Requires each county agency responsible for enforcing its respective building code to obtain accreditation by the International Accreditation Service.

Applies to all counties except Kalawao County.

Accreditation aims to ensure county building agencies meet the highest ethical, legal, and technical standards based on recognized national and international building and structural standards.

Accreditation is expected to reduce costs, save time, and improve products and services in county building code enforcement.

Takes effect upon approval.
