HI SB2295

Requires the Department of Transportation to plan for sea level rise in all future or amended transportation projects based on the latest science and recommendations from the Hawaii climate change mitigation and adaptation commission.

Mandates that all Department of Transportation highway, harbor, and airport projects conform to carbon concrete standards specified in division 600 of the highways division's special provisions for standard specifications dated July 10, 2020.

Allows the transportation director to issue exemptions from carbon concrete standards when determined necessary or when federal law mandates different procedures.

Takes effect on July 1, 2022.
