Governor must appoint individuals to fill board and commission vacancies within 180 days of term expiration, with department heads required to promptly report all vacancies.

Holdover members of boards and commissions may continue serving only until adjournment sine die of the first regular legislative session following their term expiration, instead of the previous two-session limit.

President of the Senate may nominate and, with Senate advice and consent, appoint a successor to a board or commission if the Governor fails to nominate someone by the established deadline during a legislative session.

Outgoing governors must provide incoming governors with updated lists of board and commission memberships, terms of service, and pending vacancies within 180 days of term expiration.

Existing holdover members who have served beyond the first regular legislative session following term expiration will have their terms expire upon this Act's approval, except for members of boards serving as principal department heads.
